Operation and Information Technology Integration
(2 days)
Empowering Business Decision Making
In the realm of industrial settings, Operational Technology (OT) represents the convergence of technologies that enable the real-time monitoring, management, and automation of physical processes and infrastructure. In this program, we will explore the importance of Operational Technology (OT) in the context of Industry 4.0 and differentiate it from Information Technology (IT). Participants learn to leverage visual analytics tools for data-driven decision-making, creating and interpreting data from different business units. The workshop blends theory with hands-on activities, empowering attendees to harness the synergy of convergence and make informed choices through impactful visual insights.
This workshop will help you:
1.Understand the concepts of OT and IT and recognize the importance of their integration for data acquisition and analytics for improved business efficiency.
2.Familiarize with key technologies and architectural considerations for successful OT-IT integration.
3.Understand the fundamentals of analytics & visualisation, its significance in data interpretation, and its ability to facilitate informed decision-making.
4.Creating and exploring visualizations from sample data relevant to participants’ domains.
The instruction process is structured based on adult learning concepts and application. The process includes a cross spectrum of lectures, individual and teamwork discussions, team action planning and resource feedback. The workshop sessions are enriched by audio-visual materials and experiential group dynamics to reinforce learning.
